CCTV camera price in Nepal (2026)
The honest answer is that a camera on its own tells you very little. What decides the bill is how many channels the recorder has to carry, how long you want the footage kept, and whether anyone has to pull cable through a finished wall. The live prices below are what we are actually charging today, and underneath them is a note on what pushes a system from one price band to the next.

What moves the price
- Entry — a shop counter or a gateRs 3,000 – 6,000 per camera
- Fixed-lens 2MP indoor or outdoor bullet, infrared at night. Fine when you mainly need to know that something happened.
- Mid — identification, not just detectionRs 6,000 – 12,000 per camera
- 4MP and up, ColorVu for colour after dark, or AcuSense so alerts fire on people and vehicles instead of insects. This is the band where footage is actually useful to the police.
- Higher — specific problemsRs 12,000+ per camera
- PTZ, long-range, audible-warning or ANPR units. Bought for a defined reason rather than as a general upgrade.

Common questions
- How much does a full CCTV system cost in Nepal?
- For a typical shop or home, four cameras with a recorder, a surveillance hard drive, cabling and installation generally lands between Rs 35,000 and Rs 70,000, depending on the camera grade and how much cable has to be run. We quote the whole system rather than per camera, because the recorder and the drive are what people get caught out by.
- Is an IP camera worth the extra over analog or AHD?
- If you are starting fresh, usually yes — higher resolution, one cable for power and video over PoE, and the system scales past a single recorder. If you already have coaxial cable in the walls and a working DVR, AHD upgrades the picture without rewiring the building, which is often the better value.
- How long will the footage be kept?
- That is set by the hard drive, not the cameras. As a rough guide, four 4MP cameras recording continuously fill about 2TB in three to four weeks. Tell us how far back you need to be able to look and we will size the drive to it.
- Do you install, or only supply?
- Both. We install across the Kathmandu valley and supply nationwide. If you have your own electrician, we will spec the system and hand over the parts list.
