Common questions
- What depth rack do I need?
- Measure the deepest device you intend to fit and add roughly 150mm for cabling behind it. Switches and patch panels are happy in 600mm; rack servers generally need 800mm or more, and that is the mistake that cannot be fixed later.
- Do I need cooling fans?
- A wall cabinet with a switch or two usually not. Anything with a server, or a closed cabinet in a warm room, yes — heat is what shortens hardware life in this climate.
